Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently facing serious federal charges in a high-profile sex trafficking case. The trial, underway in the Southern District of New York as of May 2025, includes allegations of sex trafficking by force, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution. These charges are rooted in claims that Combs orchestrated drug-fueled sex parties—known as “freak offs”—at his Miami Beach mansion on Star Island.
The prosecution alleges that Combs used his wealth and influence to exploit individuals, with parties allegedly involving coercion, drug use, and secret recordings used for blackmail. A key witness, singer Cassie Ventura—Combs’ former long-term girlfriend—testified that she was subjected to years of abuse, manipulation, forced drug use, and non-consensual sex acts. Another witness, a male escort, testified about being paid for sex acts while Combs watched, and described violence against Ventura.
Combs’ defense claims all participants were consenting adults engaged in a swinger lifestyle, presenting text messages as evidence.
